To be fair though blue book is irrelevant for these cars. The market prices for E46 M3s don't follow blue book. You can't find a clean low mileage car that sells for blue book.

Hell yes to the color and I can handle the SMG, but nope to the 'vert. I haven't driven an M3 with SMG, but by most accounts they're great when driving hard. I justify the SMG because the CSL only came with SMG. The price is steep sure, but if you keep the miles low, I don't see it losing value and possibly gaining in the next few years. E46 M3 prices have already gone up at least $5k in the last 2-3 years.
